| Dear praying friends, We are very thankful to the Lord for His love toward us. He is totally in-charged of every details of each of our lives. Our most recent ministry in Lamut, Ifugao and the arrangements of our itinerary to the USA are supervised by His holy hands. Praise God for making His presence known to us in our travel. We did not experience any flat tires though all my van's four tires are relatively worn out. I drove a total of nine hours in going to the venue of our seminar and eleven hours in coming home. We were so delayed coming home due to the typhoon which brought heavy rains along our way. We were able to pass through knee deep waters in flooded areas and were more than thankful to the Lord that we made it. My engine worked well except my air-condition which needs replacement due to its old age (it was not replaced since 1977). Our struggles in our travel especially as on rough and rugged roads in Lamut, Ifugao were nothing compared to the joys we experienced in our ministry with the tribal people of Ifugao. Communication is not much of a problem since they can also understand a bit of Tagalog (which is our national language) and a little of English. Isachar Losbanes was not able to come along with us for reason that he conducted Evangelistic Meeting with our team in San Fernando La Union from August 4 to 6. Professor Romy Solis and Judith took charge of cooking in the kitchen while I, Dr. Pabrua and Mrs. Solis took turns in teaching some 60 Adults and young people. We were told that only about five of them were able to attend our first Marriage and Family Life Seminar held in Solano, Nueva Viscaya (some 60 kilometers away from Lamut) in 1997. We gave out the books of Dr. Joseph Tan in titled: "I Thee Wed" and "The Christian Family" for free. We believe that the Lord ministered to them in a very special way in that they expressed to us their longings to have another seminar. I normally ask a Pastor who can pray in their native tongue to lead us in the closing prayer every time we end our sessions and many sobbed in tears. In fact their leadership promised to invite me as their guest speaker for their Annual General Assembly - a gathering of more than 800 Adults and Young People. Before I end let me ask you to pray for the following:
Finally, my brothers and sisters in the Lord let us continue to run the race with dignity and purpose. All because of His GRACE, |
