I was raised here in Kansas City and
graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. Though I gave my life to
Christ at the young age of five, I fell away during my teen years. It was
not until I reached a crisis point in my life that I turned back to God
and was given a burden to minister to youth so that they would not have to
travel the path I had already been down.
For over twenty years, I have worked with
youth as a track coach, tutor, Big Brother and in the church (as sponsor,
youth director, youth pastor, and parent). My time in the army and as a
youth/associate pastor has allowed me to serve in ministry in Colorado,
Germany, California, Texas, Missouri, and Oklahoma, as well as here in the
Kansas City area. My wife, Jo Ann is a paraprofessional at East Antioch
Elementary School and is my co-laborer in Christ. We have been blessed
with two children who are both in the youth group.
My “other job” is as a paraprofessional at
Shawnee Mission North High School. I love to spend time with my wife and
kids, hang out with teens and read. My favorite verse is 1 Peter 5:7. |
