Women's
Ministries
What is SBW? The ministry of Shawnee Baptist Women consists of
personal development through service to church, community, and missions. SBW
offers opportunities for women to relate to each other in a uniquely female way
to deepen our faith, serve our church family, and be involved in mission
outreach. SBW also provides social opportunities for the women of FBC to get to
know one another better as well as organizing church-wide events such as the
Bean Supper and Ice Cream Social. SBW hosts an annual women’s retreat at Tall
Oaks Conference Center each September. You are always welcome to invite your
friends to join you in any of these activities.

Bible Studies
Bible Study Fellowship:
Our church hosts a Bible Study Fellowship in our building every school year. All
women are invited to attend each Wednesday morning from 9:10 - 11:10 a.m.
Opening exercises start in the church sanctuary. A children's program is
provided for preschool age children. First-timers are asked to come on the first
Wednesday of the month. For registration information, contact Heidi Langford.
Drawing Closer Women’s Bible Study
This Women’s Bible Study meets on Wednesday evenings in Fellowship Hall from
6:30 to 8:00 p.m. It is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other women
in the church of all ages, as we study and share God’s Word together. This year
we will be working through the books of 1 & 2 Corinthians. We are so excited to
see what God is going to do in each of our lives as we discover new truths and
remember old ones. These two books are so full of amazing teachings,
corrections, and encouragements as we become thoroughly equipped for every good
work. We know each lady will be blessed. Nursery is provided but please call
ahead of time to let us know your needs. Barbara Huddleston teaches the study
and Becky Brooks takes care of administrative details. We are looking forward to
another year of drawing closer to each other and to our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ!
